What’s been happening:

After college I spent 10 1/2 years as a combat ready pilot in the U.S. Air Force and then joined Trans World Airlines in 1966. There I started as a co-pilot then Captain and eventually Check Airman over my 25 years with the company. Sensing that the arbitrageur attacking the company was endangering the company retirement funds I elected to take an early retirement. It was a good move as the company soon was taken into bankruptcy. I'd been playing with computers long enough by then that I was able to start a small business catering to the 'mom and pop' businesses in the local area solving their problems of dealing with computers and billing software. My feeling was that most such companies worked long and hard just to do their business and didn't have time to get up to speed on computer skills. I continued that for 15 years until we moved to Maine. In Maine I started website design for local artists and then eventually wandered into digital photography and video production. Since 2001 I've produced over 200 half hour video programs for public access television and a handful of commissioned shows for local organizations like Literacy Volunteers of America here in Maine, the Maine Maritime Museum and the Bath Senior College Education program in Bath Maine. As much as we love Maine, circumstances are driving us to move back to Pennsylvania in the very near future.
